Supporting Veterans in Our Community

Charleston and its surrounding islands are known for their rich history, coastal charm, and strong sense of community, and that spirit shines even brighter on Veterans Day. From heartfelt tributes aboard the USS Yorktown to local runs, golf fundraisers, and moving flag displays, the Lowcountry offers countless ways to honor those who have served. Here are five meaningful Veterans Day events happening across Charleston and the Islands this year, each a chance to celebrate, give back, and connect with the heroes among us.

Isle of Palms Exchange Club – Veterans Day Field of Flags in Isle of Palms

Since 1948, the IOP Exchange Club has served the community through Americanism and service programs. On Veterans Day they display American flags in honor of heroes; sponsorships help fund local causes. A powerful visual tribute—rows of flags honoring service members and loved ones.
